Fastere vævet end en almindelig silkesatin, er denne kvalitet utrolig luksuriøs og ejer en smuk glød på forsiden og en mat bagside. På grund af den kraftigere kvalitet, holder denne silke formen som en dupion, men har stadig det fantastiske skær fra en Duchess Satin. En Duchess silke bliver brugt meget i Haute Couture, Gala og Brudekjoler, hvor der skal være god volumen i designet. Den er også perfekt, at besætte med perler og broderi.
